THE REVIEW: - Princess Olamma lives with her father the king and their many staff. Since her mother died, her father is very over protective of her as she is all he has left; added to this, the fact that she is afflicted with asthma which her mother died of makes him worry about her all the more. One day she goes swimming in the nearby lake against her father’s wishes and ends up having an attack in the water.
She is rescued by a local boy called Kasie and is determined to track him down to thank him personally for saving her life. However, when she finds him, he makes a remark concerning her ailment that upsets her so she leaves angry. He later pays her a visit and apologizes saying “i have seen asthma kill” then she pours out her heart to him about her fears and he encourages her.
Meanwhile, the king is not happy about this, and he makes his feelings known to Kasie but not to his daughter. When she finds out, she confronts him and tells him that he should be grateful instead so he invites Kasie and his mother over and gives them a cheque of #50,000 which Kasie politely refuses. As time goes on, Kasie and Olamma keep seeing each other against the kings’ wishes. Time and time again they are warned to stop seeing each other especially as Olamma is engaged but they refuse.
Finally, the king kills Kasie and Olamma disowns him for killing her heartthrob. The king himself later dies.

CINEMATOGRAPHY: - OBINNA UKAEZE
COSTUMIER: - MILICENT JACK
MAKE-UP ARTIST: - SANDRA EJIKEME
CAMERA SPEED: - NORMAL MOTION
SHOTS: They made use of long shots and medium shots most times.
ANGLES: - Most times they made use of high angle and a few times, mid angles.
COSTUME: - The costumes looked great most of the times, except one time where the princess wore heels along with her native attire, it didn’t represent the way a true African princess should be dressed.
MY LIKES: - Unlike most Nigerian movies, one couldn’t really tell the end from the beginning. While I was watching, I thought she’d go to thank Kasie for saving her life, they’ll fall in love, and of course he will not be of the same class as her so the king will be angry and try to get rid of him by any means necessary but in the end, true love will prevail and the would end up together but as it turns out, I had never been more wrong.
MY CRITICISMS: - The movie was not interesting from the start. A good movie should hold the audience’s attention from the beginning. They shouldn’t have to watch the part 2 to say it was any good. Also when Princess Olamma was drowning, she was screaming whilst under water and that was not at all realistic.
