PLOT

LOVE IS SHOWING AFFECTION AND CARING FOR SOMEONE

The film is a love movie about Jemima (Genevieve Nnaji) who called her writings “letters to a stranger”. Her boyfriend Fredrick (Fred Amata) stopped showing affection, also kept his mother Mrs. Okoh (Joke Silva) and business above his love for her. Her friend Tare (Elvina Ibru) convinced her to visit Lagos to clear her head.

During her stay in Lagos, she met a stranger Sadiq (Yemi Blaq) through wrong number while trying to call her sister kemi (Fiberesima Ibinabo). Sadiq was a writer and always showed affection unlike Fredrick who forgot her birthday and proposed to her just by sending the ring to her office. Fredrick’s mum died due to stroke and she had to return to Abuja to keep him company. She tried returning the ring back to Fredrick only to find him reading her letters he called “her thing”. He asked her why she stayed with him during the period that he stopped showing he cared and his mother’s death and she couldn’t answer his question.

Jemima had to make a choice between Fredrick and Sadiq and promised to call the lucky one first. She called Fredrick to apologize only to find out that he had already made a choice for her by switching off his phone. She later married Fredrick and asked Sadiq why he switched off his phone and he brought out his birthday gift from her and showed her that she addressed it to Fredrick.

This film talks about valuing love and also teaches how to love. The film was a masterpiece of its kind and also made use of good actors in the aspect of diction especially. The costume was perfect and also good picture quality. It is one of the few good Nigerian movies we have. The camera angles were high low, extremely high.

However I will not fail to mention claws in the movie like apart from the entertaining function, it was also a means of advertisement for MTN,D’BANJ AND MOTOROLA.
