Quotes: the quote I find very significant in this movie is an excerpt from the scene when Demilade’s aunt (Iyabo Momob) her mother’s elder sister came to the house and she was scolding Demilade’s mother for Demilade’s nonchalant behaviour in learning
Egbon Romola “Is it at the ninety ninth hours you have to be running helter skelter.”
Cinematography
Shots: the shots were medium shots in the movie
Angle: low angle was dominant because the camera most scenes were placed in such a way that we were always looking at the character at hand.
Transition: fade in and fade out were used in all the scenes
Camera movement: dolly in was used where Biola was talking to Demilade’s mother to create intimacy, the fact that they both loved Demilade and wanted the best for her, it was also used when Demilade and Biola were in the bedroom. The camera was not hand held, it was on the tripod.
Camera speed: medium camera speed was maintained through out the movie.
Costume: everyday clothing’s were used though Demilade’s cloths were expensive ones, to show her superiority over others.
Make-up: light make-up was used and there was no character make up, so everyone looked themselves.
Reflections: one can’t always have things his or her own way, and should be ready to learn and adapt to the situation as Demilade did.
Parent should not spoil there children no matter how much they love them and care for them, instead, they should teach them everything they need to keep moving in their lives.
Children should not allow their parents to spoil them but instead try to learn by themselves the god attitudes and morals of life.
Finale: Demilade learnt to take care of her home and husband and everybody was happy and satisfied including sugar mummy who said that “all that starts well ends well.”
