The review: the movie is about a man Mr. Talabi (Rotimi Akinlesi), who is a Christian and a worker in his church, but was blinded by money. He wanted riches at all cost and did not mind what he was doing. Several revelations came as a warning concerning the business which he turned deaf hears too, it landed him in the police cell. He got a contract from the United State of America but couldn’t attend to it because the fire underneath his ‘Alter of Sacrifice’ was out. His son Kevin (Seyi Oluwadare) faced same situation with his studies but wasn’t adamant like his father. He received the corrections his pastor, Bro. Teju (Lekan Asikhia).
However, Mr. Talabi had been attacked by the evil power of the Baale (Sunday Ogunwole) of the village where he was sent to preach the gospel of Christ. Pastor Obisesan went there and things did turned around in the village.
Setting: Village and contemporary Nigeria setting.
Main casts: Mr. Talabi (Rotimi Akinlesi), Mrs. Talabi (Busayo Asikhia), Kelvin (Seyi Oluwadare), Bro. Teju (Lekan Asikhia), Past. Obisesan (Stephen Eniayewu), Baale (Sunday Ogunwole), Emeka ( Obi Pius Chioma).
Country: Nigeria.
Theme: love, good will message, obedience and disobedience to God.
Genre: tragedy and adventure.
Language: English and Yoruba.
Quote: Je ebo aye mimo (Your alter of fire must keep burning).
Cinematography: medium shot, two shot, long shot.
Transition: dissolves, fade in and out.
Angle: high angle, mid angle.
Camera movement: horizontal movements, crane shots.
Camera speed: fast and normal motion.
Reflections: I don’t like the pictures and the sound (It was a little bit blurry and the voice, coarse. Another thong I do not like is that just one person played about three roles among the crew. And that might probably be the reason for the blurry and coarseness of the movie. Also the film was to be rated Parental Guide not 15 ears upward. This is because there are not obscure scenes, and the movie is good and lesson generating for all ages.
Finale: The pick of the movie was when Mr. Talabi was lured by two other associates into a bad and costly business that almost robbed him of his alter. I learn that we should have a listening spirit. We should be obedient especially when we know that the person giving us the advice is higher than us in wisdom and understanding God’s purpose for us life.
Duration: About two and a half hours.
