Story Line.
The movie is about three close friends who live together namely Nadine (Genevieve Nnaji), Bibi (Bimbo Akintola) and Tamuno (Funlola Aofiyebi) who are successful in terms of career but are unfortunate when it comes to relationships. Nadine who is the supposed Cinderella who believes in love while Bibi and Tamuno are of the opinions that love doesn’t exist due to their family background which lacked love.
The dreams of Nadine concerning love was shattered thanks to her boyfriend who while dating her was married. Her realization of this situation made her more focused in her occupation as an architect after a terrible illness due to shock.
She met Sampa (Richard Mofe Damijo) while undertaking a contract with some of her colleagues. They both fell in love as time went by but at the inception of the relationship, she felt insecure and questions everything he says in essence, she didn’t trust him.
As for her friend Tamuno, she got hooked to a rich Hausa man through the use of “jazz’ thereby making him send both his wife and children away. Bibi also was not left out as she fell in love with Uche after a recent heart break.
Nadine’s insecurity took the better side of her as her friends convinced her to make a love portion for Sampa which she later agreed to. Life was a bit promising for them as things began to work out fine for them. Tamuno got married to Alhaji, Sampa proposed to Nadine and Bibi’s relationship with Uche was going on strong.
Things unfortunately began to take a new turn as Alhaji constantly beats Tamuno and finally sends her packing. Nadine’s relationship with Sampa hit the rock when Sampa found out that she stooped so low to charm him although the charm had no effect on him as his mother had also kept a charm to neutralize the powers of any charm.
Love finally triumphed as forgiveness set in on the part of Sampa to Nadine as he realized that he was head over heels in love with Nadine hence their reconciliation.
Reviewer’s Comments.
The movie is well told, the scripts are brilliant and the language was easy to understand. It was emotional, practical and educative. The sound quality was good but could have been better. The choice of actors was brilliant and camera shots and angles were good. A classic, four stars out of five.
