The film is about two people who are deeply in love, but cannot really enjoy this happiness because of their tribes and father. Kike is a Yoruba girl played by Grace Amah, while Uche is an Igbo Boy played by Nonso Diobi. A meeting in a Lagos supermarket draws them close to each other, and they quickly fall head over heels whilst taking their National Youth Service. After everything seems to be going on well and they both seem to be madly in love, it is somewhat close to perfect romance, until they both decide to get married and try to introduce each other to their relatives and culture. Unfortunately for them, both of their parents are fervent tribalists and strongly oppose against the union Kiki and Uche.

For the first time I have to say that I am impressed with the story line and the aura of the actors put together into the film, it has a good feeling of Nigerian and tribal love, but there was a slight error in the film, because they fell in love when they met each other in the supermarket, whereas they did not know anything about themselves. But the fact that an average amount of comedy was tossed in to the film, made a film to watch.
There was a very funny scene towards the end of the movie where the two fathers got into a food fight. Baba Uche was his eating pounded yam and all of a sudden, he throws pieces of it at Baba Kike, who in starts throw his own, everything ends up being a food fight by the two old men. With both parties screaming “Return to sender!”
The movie had a nice ending to it, as Baba Kike and Baba Uche put aside their differences after remembering that they had previously encountered before, after being robbed on a bus going to Lagos. Because it was dark that night, they had not seen each other while running for their lives but had shared money and food with each other. They were amazed that the other had been so kind considering tribal affiliations
It was a nice movie nonetheless, considering that I am not a big fan of Nigerian movies I would give it 76%, mainly because of the story line.

Genre: Tragedy Plot: Twin sisters (Oluwaseun and Oluwaseyi Adebayo) from a rich family do not have a good relationship. There is a form of enmity between the two because Seun is proud, arrogant and irresponsible while her twin Seyi is the opposite. Seyi is loved by everyone because of her humbleness so she finds it difficult to live with her sister who complains a lot and boasts about her success. Seun is an actress while her sister Seyi is a medical doctor. Seun feels she is the most successful person in the world because she has a well paid job; she is beautiful and is engaged to a rich guy. Seun was living a life of luxury until the day she was involved in an accident and could not walk again. Her sister flew to Nigeria on hearing the news. There, Seyi was begged to take her sister’s roles in some movies they had already paid Seun for. It took a while for Seyi to accept. After her first movie act, she fell in love with the profession and even did it better than her sister. Everybody she worked with loved her. Seun got jealous of the positive things she heard about Seun and vouched to destroy her especially when her friend gave her a false message about seeing her fiancée (i.e. Seun’s) with Seyi. The parents didn’t help matters because they were always taking sides. The daddy loved Seyi more while the mum preferred Seun. On a faithful day after Seyi got back early to find her fiancée and her sister kissing. She got angry and left the scene. She was chased by her fiancée who tried to explain things to her. He told her to ask her twin what she told him. Seyi went to her sister and asked her why she did that sinful act. Seun shouted at Seyi and said she hated her with a passion. Seyi tried to ignore her so on her way out, Seun threw a heavy artifact at Seyi which got Seyi hospitalized but luckily for Seyi, she escaped death. As for Seun she was sentenced to 20years imprisonment for attempted man-slaughter of her twin sister. Shots: Most of the shots taken in this movie were close-up medium shots. I noticed an extreme shot once. They also made use of long shots. Angle: Medium angle was the dominant. They also made use of low angel once when Seyi just arrived and was coming down from the vehicle.
Finale: the movie had a tragic end where Seun hit her sister with that big sculpture and Seyi laid unconscious. I think this a big lesson to parents who favour one child than another. There should be no favoritism since you are their parents and they are your kids. Try to show equal love to them. And to siblings, that there should be love amongst us we are of the same blood why should there be enmity amongst us? This movie is also telling us to know the kind of friends we pick because Seun’s friend influenced Seun and made her hatred for her sister deepen.

MOVIE PLOT
Prince Ekong(Desmond Elliot) needs to get a wife before he can become the King of Calabar. His father, king Obong(Alex Usifo) urges him to get a wife by the end of one week. Ekong, however, is faced with a dilemma: he can’t seem to choose from among the three ladies he fancies- Eme(Blessing Effiom), Uyai(Kate Henshaw Nuttal), and Asari(Omoni Oboli).
He decides to test all three of them, and at the end of seven days, choose his bride. It turns out that though Eme is very pretty and cooks well, she is subservient and does not speak her mind. Asari is a good person, but because of her boldness, Ekong thinks she is rude. Uyai is very ambitious and proud. She refuses to let anything stand in the way of realizing her dream and so she deceives Eme and drugs Asari. She also sneaks out of the palace to her home to get food for the prince as she cannot cook.
The prince is deceived by Uyai’s tricks and he picks her at the end of the testing period. Eme is relieved as she is already in love with Ekuke(Okey Uzoeshi). It turns out that Asari actually does love the prince although she considers him incapable of wooing a lady. She is heart-broken when the prince chooses Uyai. Eme and Asari leave the palace.
Uyai’s father, who is a pastor, refuses to let his daughter get away with her crimes, telling the king that his daughter,Uyai, does not deserve prince Ekong. The king makes both Uyai and her sister/ partner-in-crime servants at the palace and promises to reward Uyai’s father for his honesty. Prince Ekong runs after Asari andbegs for her forgiveness and calls her his queen. She asks if he couldn’t tell that she had loved him for so long. She accepts and he takes her away in his arms.
The sound quality is not so good, but it depicts culture. It does seem a bit like a fairy tale. Generally, it’s a good watch.
Genre: melodrama (the good side is ken and the bad side is Melissa and Adline)
Plot: Bar. Melissa Anan (Jackie Appiah) a spoilt rude daughter of the first vice president of the republic of Ghana is being given an award for the female personality of the year. In the interview of the award she highlights the plight of female in the society and how her mother went through a terrible marriage and later climbs the ladder to becoming the first female vice-president of the republic of Ghana. Melissa’s mother Adline (Kalsoume Sinare) is served papers to a piece of land by Collins her aide but unfortunately for her the house is already occupied with already started constructing on the land .Adline decides to pay the occupant a visit. The occupant was later identified as Dr. Ken Ajumai (Majid Michel). Ken refused to vacate the land on the grounds that it was his only inheritance from his late dad. On leaving Adline threatens Ken. Ken’s sister later wants him about Adline. Some days later Melissa pays ken a legal visit threatening lawsuit while she provides some fake document stating that he sold the land for hundred thousand galaxies. Later ken meets his friend Chris and tells him about his challenge, but his friend stared acting aversive even if he agreed to stand by him. Melissa meets ken again at the shopping mall and started throwing threats all over again. Ken get s back home from work the next day only to be told by the sister that the government agents paid a visit to say that bulldozers have been called to pull down the construction.
Melissa pays Chris a visit on behalf of the matter but on her way out ken meets her with Chris and ken questioned is friend but Chris denied any knowledge apart from few dates with Melissa. It was then it was revealed that it was Chris who provided Melissa and her mother with the fake document. The battle still continues as Adline starts pulling down the construction and again with Melissa’s visit to ken with an ultimatum and a threat to visit the local government of house for permission to pull down the construction. That same day assassin were sent to kill him but fortunately for him he survived when the bullet hit another person wearing the same color of cloth as he was. He was so mad he went straight to Melissa’s house pouring accusations on them. Police were later called and he was locked up. The next day Melissa came to the prison to ask the DPO the keep ken in prison for a long time but unfortunately for her and fortunately for ken it was that same time he was being bailed by his lawyer after the police found no other reason to detain him. Later that day, it was shown that the master head of the operation of the assassins was ken’s friend, Chris.
Melissa and Adline meets Chris after the operation failed and they finalized how Chris will answer the lawyer’s questions if the case reaches court, about the fact that he was the only witness of the transaction between Ken and Adline. The next day Adline visits Ken’s lawyer bar. Fred Asowri (Gavivina Tamakloe) and threatens him that if does not drop the case he will e exposed as having an illegally acquired 1st degree. Bar. Fred drops the case but Ken still keeps on fighting.
Adline travels to Moscow for a ten days conference as a representative of the first lady and asks that Melissa should keep on the fight for ken’s land. However the next day Melissa is rushed to Ken’s hospital unconscious. Ken came to the hospital to treat her even though he was not on the morning shift. The story ends with ken treating a patient he later realized was Melissa his enemy.

Reflection: I found it amazing how after everything Melissa still landed in Dr. Ken’s hospital. It makes one see that you never know who will hold your life in their hands in the future.
No one should not covert another’s property no matter the social position (the 9th commandment)
Finale: of course after everything Melissa later landed in ken’s hospital, where he had the power to either kill her or save her. Ken did not leave her to die but supposing he had a bad mind who knows…. Melissa should have known better that all positions were not permanent.

SUMMARY.
The movie is about a girl named Emerald( Genevive Nnaji) who is embarrassed by a young man named Max( Majid Michel) when she stops a taxi. Max claimed he stopped the taxi and since he was in a hurry she should get out of the cab. This same Max turns out to be a friend to her aunt’s niece, Becky (Tonto Dike). Becky tries to convince Emerald that Max is a good person and she decides to invite him to her party so Emerald could formally meet him.
At the party, Max accuses Emerald of stealing a beautiful ring that he saw on her finger, he claims that the ring had been in his family for generations and that it was stolen some years back. She tries to convince him that she bought the ring from an old woman who was in the antique store she had gone to with Becky. She tells him the woman also claimed that the ring had magic and that it would bring her good luck. Max does not believe her, he then forcefully kisses her as a way of punishing her, she slaps him.
He confronts Becky about it, Becky tells him that he had made a mistake and that Emerald had bought the ring. Max is very sorry and he tries to amend his mistake but Emerald does not want to listen to whatever he has to say. She gets worried because everything that was happening, had happened in her dream the night she had worn the ring to sleep. Max does not know about this, he keeps trying to talk to her. They later fall in love but can’t be together because Max has a crippled wife at home who constantly drives him crazy. His wife leaves him for his friend. Max and Emerald end up together and the ring returns to the family.
The movie was okay. The production was not bad. The storyline how ever to me was very poor. There were too many twists and turns in the movie.
